Directions: Take Route 302 west from Columbia, SC about 28 miles to the town of Wagener.  At the intersection of Route 302 & Route 39 make a left hand turn and go about 3 miles.  The race track is on your left.  (Directions from other areas are on the web site.)

General Rules
Applies to all classes, drivers, crew, and spectators.

  1. ALL DRIVERS, CREW MEMBERS, AND SPECTORS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW, UNDERSTAND, AND ABIDE BY ALL RULES, NO EXCEPTIONS.   IT IS NOT THE OFFICIAL'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THE RULES, ASK IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.  THE OFFICIALS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO ENFORCE THE RULES TO ENSURE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE RACE FOR ALL.
  2. IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE IN THE WRONG CLASS DISCUSS THIS WITH THE OFFICIAL, IF THIS IS DISCOVERED AFTER A CLASS STARTS YOU MAY BE DISQUALIFIED WITHOUT A REFUND.
  3. NO DRIVER WILL BE ALLOWED TO CONSUME ANY TYPE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE UNTIL AFTER THE RACE. ANY DRIVER CAUGHT DRINKING, OR IN THE JUDGEMENT OF A TRACK OFFICIAL TO BE IMPARED, WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITH NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEE OR GATE ADMISSIONS.  REPEAT OFFENDERS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED FOR A YEAR.
  4. Drivers and truck owners are responsible for the behavior of all crew members.
  5. Only the driver and one crew member will be allowed in the staging pit and staging area.
  6. Track officials have the final judgment on any vehicle in any class. Track officials have the right to re-tech any vehicle and have the final say in any decision.
  7. All drivers must have and wear a minimum Snell 80 Helmet. No driver can compete bare footed. The driver must wear shirt, shoes, socks, long pants and/or a fire retardant suit. Face mask, gloves and neck brace are highly recommended.
  8. All vehicles from D class to I class must have a minimum 2.5 lb. ABC FIRE extinguisher or on board fire system within easy reach of the driver with the driver still in harness or seat belt if vehicle is not factory stock.
  9. Street classes A, B, C, & D. Factory seat belts with a shoulder harness are acceptable. All other classes are required to have a minimum 4 point harness system. A 5 point system is recommended in all classes.
  10. All vehicles must have rigid front and rear tow hooks. No trailer balls accepted.
  11. All fuel lines must be routed away from headers, fans and any other components that may cause a rupture of the fuel system.
  12. All fuel lines, coolant lines, belts and hoses must be in good working condition.
  13. Every vehicle must have an ignition kill switch. A stock engine switch is allowed in street classes.
  14. All trucks with nitrous or electric fuel pumps (not original factory installed) must have a master kill switch mounted in the back of the bed, painted red, as close to the center as possible. This switch must be clearly marked ON and OFF.
  15. All vehicles equipped with electric fuel pumps must have the ignition and fuel pump operated by the same circuit. Meaning when the ignition is turned off the fuel pump is disabled simultaneously with a master kill switch.
  16. All electric pumps and nitrous systems switches must be within easy reach of the driver while strapped in the harness.
  17. No fuel or coolant lines are permitted inside of the driver's compartment. If a fuel pressure gauge is being used, it must be mounted outside of the driver's compartment unless a fuel isolator is being used.
  18. Battery and/or batteries must be mounted securely and NOT inside the driver's compartment.
  19. All classes are limited to one carburetor unless factory equipped.
  20. Carburetors must have a minimum of 2 return springs. A third is recommended at the floor petal.
  21. Front and rear drive shafts must have retention loops at the front and rear no further than 4 inches from the u-joint.
  22. F (super stock ), G (pro stock I), H (pro stock II) class vehicles must have a shield or blanket on automatic transmission.
  23. All standard shift vehicles with a clutch must have an after market fly wheel and blow proof clutch housing or scatter shield.
  24. All running gear must pass tech inspection for safety and be good working condition.
  25. F (super stock), G ( pro stock I), H (pro stock II)   class vehicles must have a 3/16 thick steel or aluminum shrouds around the Harmonic Balancer if using OEM Balancer. If after market Balancer is used, you do not have to have the shroud although balancer must meet SF1 spec 18.1.
  26. All Fuel tanks must be isolated from the driver's compartment by a fire wall.
  27. FUEL - Pump or race fuel only unless otherwise specified. No alcohol or fuel additives. Ex: Klotz, propylene oxide, etc.
  28. If any vehicle is equipped for nitrous and running in a non-nitrous class the line must be disconnected at the bottle(s) or bottle(s) must be removed or the line must be blocked at the solenoid. Any driver found to be running fuel additives, or nitrous in a non-nitrous class, will be disqualified from the race. No refund will be given.
  29. In nitrous class 1/4 turn ball valve to shut off the bottle must be within the drivers reach while in the harness.  If two bottles are used both must use a ball valve and have 1 cable to shut off the flow. The throttle switch must be a loaded button. (Momentary Switch)
  30. Exhaust must be pointed straight back.
  31. Brakes must be in good working order.
  32. All vehicles must have a working neutral safety switch. .
  33. A shifter with reverse lock out function is recommended. .
  34. Vehicle doors must open and close from the inside and the outside. No welding or bolting the doors shut. This applies to ALL classes.
  35. Fire wall must be retained. Removal of heater boxes and wiper motors are permitted. Open holes in the firewall must be covered with a minimum of .040 aluminum.
  36. Tires- You are allowed to run one set of tires per paid entry. DOT tires are tires stamped with the raised D.O.T. stamping on the side wall. No paddle tires or tractor tires in any class.
  37. Body, fire walls, and floorboards are mandatory in all classes.
  38. Any vehicles found to have any unsafe conditions, ex: leaking fuel, oil, coolant, broken windshield, excessive smoking, flat tires, loose steering, etc... will be disqualified with no refund. Officials have the final say.
  39. No steel mechanical accelerator allowed on engines with rubber motor mounts, they must run a cable or factory linkage.
  40. If steering wheel is removable, it must have a self locking retention device.
  41. Any vehicle with a removable top must have a roll cage.
  42. All drivers must have a signed registration form for EACH class.
  43. A truck that is registered in one class more then one time will only win one time in the class. A limit of 2 drivers will be permitted to run any one truck. One purse to the highest posted finisher in the payout.
  44. All protests must be made within 15 minutes of the finish of the class. Protest fees will be $200.00 per ITEM being protested in A, B, C, & D classes. $500.00 in all other classes. The protest will be the inspection of the item being protested ONLY. If the protest is found legal, the driver being protested will be given 50% of the protest money and the track will be given 50% of the protest money. If the item is found Illegal, the protest fee will be returned to the protester. If the vehicle is found to be illegal, NO purse will be given and no entry fees will be refunded. YOU MUST PLACE DIRECTLY BEHIND A VEHICLE, IN SECOND THRU SIXTH TO PROTEST THAT VEHICLE.
  45. Each driver must sign their registration form.  If the driver does not sign the driver will be disqualified.
  46. All registration fees must be paid at the time you register.  If fees are not paid at that time you will be unable to run.
  47. NO MISCONDUCT OR ILL TREATMENT OF ANY TYPE WILL BE TOLERATED TOWARD ANY OF THE TRACK OFFICIALS OR PATRONS. THE RULES HAVE BEEN CREATED TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND ENJOYABLE RACE FOR EVERYONE.  THE OFFICIALS WILL DEFINE MISCONDUCT WHEN IT OCCURS.
  48. NO ROLL THRU AT THE STARTING IN 2004.  A ROLL THROUGH WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
  49. ANY TRUCK THAT GOES OUT OF BOUNDS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.  OUT OF BOUNDS IS DEFINED AS HAVING ANY TIRE THAT HITS THE TOP OF THE PIT. THIS WILL BE DETERMINED BY A TRACK OFFICIAL.
  50. ALL CLASSES WILL MAKE 2 PASSES. YOUR FASTEST TIME WILL BE KEPT AS YOUR TIME EXCEPT FOR THE CONSISTENCY CLASS.
  51. TRACK OFFICIALS HAVE THE RIGHT TO LIMIT ANY CLASS TO ONE PASS IF THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES IS EXCESSIVE.  IN THIS CASE, THE FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD RUNNING TRUCKS WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO RERUN AFTER THE THIRD TRUCK COMPLETES ITS RUN.  IF THEY CHOOSE TO RERUN, THE TIME FROM THE SECOND RUN WILL BE USED TO PLACE THEM.
  52. ENTRY FEE WILL BE REFUNDED ONLY IF A TRUCK IS BROKEN. OFFICIALS MUST BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO THE START OF THE CLASS THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPETE TO RECEIVE A REFUND. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN THE 2004 SEASON. YOUR TRUCK MUST NOT BE ABLE TO RUN TO GET A REFUND. THIS REFUND MUST BE APPROVED BY TRACK OFFICIALS.
  53. No one will be allowed in the tower without permission from a track official.
  54. ALL VEHICLES WILL BE GIVEN MINIMUM OF 1 MINUTE AFTER YOUR NAME HAS BEEN CALLED TO BE IN THE STARTING POSITION. THE TRACK WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY YOU AFTER MORE THAN 1 MINUTE. YOU MUST ALSO RETURN STRAIGHT TO THE STAGING AREA AFTER YOU FINISH YOUR RUNS IN EACH CLASS OR FACE DISQUALIFICATION.
    Track officials will interpret the rules, and their decision is final.
    No trucks will be disqualified because factory equipment or design is not permitted by our rules.  E.g. factory turbo charger where a carburetor is required or a #1 spark plug behind the front differential if motor is in stock location, or ???. (added 1/21/2004)

     

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY RULE FOR BETTER SAFETY STANDARDS AND COMPETITION. TRACK OFFICIALS HAVE THE FINAL CALL - ON ALL DECISIONS.


 

A

Pure Factory Street

 

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- Factory truck off show room floor with all factory accessories, Tags & Insurance, and driven to the track.

 

3.            Engine- Stock, no modifications.  Must Pull 18" vacuum @800 RPM.

 

4.            Exhaust- Factory, duals permitted no headers.

 

5.            Suspension- Stock, Lifts permitted.

 

6.            Fuel- 93 Octane pump or diesel fuel, no racing fuel.

 

7.          Tires- Stock DOT 33" maximum, same size front and rear.



B

Modified Street

 

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- Factory truck with tags and insurance that can be driven or towed to the track.  Must be street legal.

 

3.            Engine- Stock, no modifications.  After market aluminum intake and one carburetor permitted.  Must Pull 15" vacuum @800 RPM.

 

4.            Exhaust- Factory or duals with headers permitted, must have mufflers.

 

5.            Suspension- Stock, lift kit and mild fender trimming permitted.  Bolt on body parts or accessories cannot be removed.

 

6.            Fuel- 93 Octane pump or diesel fuel, no racing fuel.  Fuel tank and battery must mount in stock locations.

 

7.            Tires- Stock DOT 44" maximum, front and rear do not have to match.

 

8.            Accessories- No electric fuel pumps, water pumps, or cooling fans unless factory equipped. If after market electric fuel pump is installed you must have a cutoff switch in the rear of the truck.

 

9.            A 4.4 second break out rule applies to this class (Wagener-Salley Mud Track ONLY.)  You are DQ'd and your class fee is non-refundable if you run below the break out time.

 



 


 

 

C

Modified Street - 4Cyls & 6Cyls

 

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- All rules from "B MODIFIED STREET CLASS" apply.

 

3.          Engine- Must be 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder.

 


 

D

Pro-Street

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- Compacts with small blocks and factory full size truck with glass windows, door panels, dash, back bed, head and tail lights.  Plexiglas in rear window permitted.  Tags and insurance are not required.

 

3.            Engine-  one four barrel carburetor, steel block and heads mounted in stock location, and they match the make of vehicle.

 

4.            Exhaust- Open and straight back, or inverted headers not pointing at driver.

 

5.            Suspension- Factory suspension or three steel leaf springs in rear, two leaf springs in front, mounted solid on one end and to a shackle on the other end, bolted to axle housing.  Ladder bars acceptable, no coil over, no racing shocks, no four links, and no floaters or sliders.  Springs must push the truck.

 

6.            Fuel- Race fuel only, no alcohol, klotze, propylene oxide, nitrous, etc.

 

7.            Body- No gutting.  Fuel Cell and battery must be securely mounted.  The recommendation is that they be secured under the back of bed.  The battery and Fuel Cell must be securely mounted so that they do not move independent of the mounting surface.  A kill switch mounted in rear center in RED is also required.  Fiber glass hood permitted.  Front bumper required.  Tailgate can be removed.  If the top is removed, a roll cage is required.

 

8.            Roll Cage- Mandatory if four or five point harness and racing seat is installed, and/or if top is removed.

 

9.            After Market- Steering, electric fuel pump/fan/shifter/water-pumps permitted.

 

10.       Tires- 44" DOT maximum.

 

11.       Brakes- On all four wheels.  Two step or trans-brake can be installed but not operated.

 


 

E

Super Street

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- Factory full size and compact trucks with V8s, not gutted, with correct wheel base, factory dash, and glass in front.  Plexiglas in rear.  Tags and insurance not required.

 

3.            Engine- #1 plug must be in front of axle.  No engine, transmission, or transfer case set back.  One carburetor, steel block (aluminum heads permitted), factory enclosed transfer case.  Drive shaft loops required.

 

4.            Exhaust- Open and straight back, or inverted headers not pointing at driver.

 

5.            Suspension- Factory or three steel springs in rear, and two in front, mounted solid on one end and to a shackle on the other end and bolted to axles.  Coil over, shock relocation and ladder bars permitted.  Four links, floaters, or sliders are not permitted. Springs must push the truck.

 

6.            Fuel- race fuel only.  No alcohol, klotze, propylene oxide, nitrous, etc.

 

7.            Body- No gutting.  Fuel Cell and battery must be securely mounted.  The recommendation is that they be secured under the back of bed.  The battery and Fuel Cell must be securely mounted so that they do not move independent of the mounting surface.  A kill switch mounted in rear center in RED is also required.   Fiber glass hood permitted.  Front bumper required.   Tailgate can be removed.   If the top is removed, a roll cage is required.


 

8.            Roll Cage- Mandatory if four or five point harness and racing seat is installed or if top is removed.

F

Super Stock

 

1.            ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.            Description- Full size trucks with factory frame and wheel base, stock appearing body, fiber glass or steel.  Both doors must open.  Can be gutted.

 

3.            Engine- Steel block, (aluminum heads permitted), one carburetor, and #1 plug can not be more than 4" back from center of front axle.

 

4.            Exhaust- Open and straight back, or inverted headers not pointing at driver.

 

5.            Suspension- Factory suspension modified, must run at least one leaf spring per wheel, can be steel or carbon fiber, mounted solid on one end to the frame, also mounted solid to axle housing, coil over, floater, sliders and ladder bars ok.  Four links not permitted.  Springs must push truck.

 

6.            Fuel- Any race fuel, no alcohol, klotze, propylene oxide, nitrous, etc.

 

7.            Body- Stock appearing body gutted, Fuel Cell and battery must be securely mounted.  The recommendation is that they be secured under the back of bed.  The battery and Fuel Cell must be securely mounted so that they do not move independent of the mounting surface.  A kill switch mounted in rear center in RED is also required. 

8.            Roll Cage & race seat with four or five point harness.

 

9.            Brakes- Minimum two Wheel independent brakes required.   Four wheel independent brakes is HIGHLY recommended.

 

10.       Safety- Plexiglas, window net, drive shaft loops, etc.

 

11.       Tires- DOT 44" maximum and can be cuts.

 


 

H

Pro-Stock II

 

1.      ALL GENERAL RULES APPLY.

 

2.       Description- Any vehicle with altered body and factory frame.

 

3.      Engine- Steel block, (aluminum heads permitted).  #1 plug can be no more then 12" back from center of front axle housing.  One carburetor.

 

4.      Exhaust- Open and straight back, or inverted headers not pointing at driver.

 

5.      Suspension- No restrictions.

 

6.      Fuel- Allowed to run nitrous.

 

7.      Tires- DOT 44" maximum and can be cuts.

 

8.      Safety- Roll cage, 4 or 5 point harness, drive shaft loops, window net, Fuel Cell and battery must be securely mounted.  The recommendation is that they be secured under the back of bed.  The battery and Fuel Cell must be securely mounted so that they do not move independent of the mounting surface.  A kill switch mounted in rear center in RED is also required.  A minimum two wheel brakes, etc.  FIREPROOF SUIT IS REQUIRED.

 


 

 

 

CONSISTENCY CLASS

 

ALL TRUCKS THAT MEET SAFETY RULES CAN COMPETE AND MUST RUN TWO PASSES.  THE OBJECT OF THIS CLASS IS TO DUPLICATE YOUR TIME AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE ON BOTH OF YOUR PASSES. THE CLOSEST TRUCK TO DUPLICATED TIMES WINS.   NO PADDLE TIRES.  IF RUNNING NITROUS THEN A FIREPROOF SUIT IS REQUIRED.
